A fantastic experience this evening. I was invited to attend a function hosted by the Rocky Mountain Harley Owners Group (RMHOG) at Rocky Mountain Harley Davidson in Littleton, CO, welcoming Ride With the 40, a group of bikers travelling cross-country to raise funds for the Flight 93 National Memorial. RMHOG’s director Shad Adams asked me to appear, and they played Memories Reach Millions of Miles. It was a special moment. Flight 93 Captain Jason Dahl’s wife Sandy was on hand, and it was a great pleasure meeting her and listening to her comments. If you have the chance, please go to www.jonchandler.com and download Memories Reach Millions of Miles. Proceeds go to the Flight 93 National Memorial. Also, watch the wonderful video Tom Mullen put together on You Tube at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GArfxOz87Uw. It’s getting great response. Finally, my blog entry chronicling the song’s creation is at http://jonchandlermusic.wordpress.com/. Thanks to everyone who’s let me know the song is meaningful. I’m very gratified.

Jon, to say your song moved the entire group is greatly understating the fact. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house, and that isn’t easy to do with a bunch of Harley riders. But you did, and we are grateful to have your talent and gift bless us like you did this evening. I know all of the core riders and the people there who had loved ones on Flight 93 that day also were greatly moved. I hope this song becomes a standard for 9-11 observances for decades to come.

Jon,
You are a very special man to have written and performed this absolutely wonderful song. I can tell you for a fact that Sandy Dahl was moved by this song and I am so glad you were able to meet her and present her with a copy of the song. In my opinion, this is one of the best songs written that pays tribute to the hero’s of Flight 93 and Trade Center and Pentagon hero’s. Thank you for being present when Ride With The 40 arrived in Denver.
