December 2009 ASL      A great evening of holiday music at this month’s Americ’a Soul Live – Tuesday, December 15.  December 2009 ASLJon will welcome Dakota Blonde’s Mary Huckins, super-picker Dana Vernon, super-picker #2 Ernie Martinez, fiddle great Johnny Neill, bassist extraordinaire Jeff Graves, and the Pickin’ Parlor’s own Kit Simon and Martine Gilmore to the Pickin’ Parlor stage for a couple of great acoustic holiday music sets.  All the info’s on the attached pdf file.  Word is, there’ll be a little Christmas cheer and goodies on hand, as well.  Hope to see you all on Tuesday!

Download Jon’s New Christmas Song

Welcome to my new blog! 

  This is where I will opine on a very irregular basis.  Check in often, I will link it back to facebook, but this is where it all begins! To kickoff  my new blog, I am introducing my brand new Christmas song as a free download!

Just finished up a really nice Christmas Song with John Macy at his Macy Sound Studios in Denver.  John, Ernie and I picked away at a tune I’ve done in concert for years – That’s What Christmas Means to Me – but have never recorded (with the exception of a quick demo a few years back.)  We’ve made it available on this site for free download.  It’ll also be available next year on my planned Christmas CD, Dozens of Decembers.  Hope you enjoy That’s What Christmas Means to Me…and please enjoy your holidays.  Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.That’s What Christmas Means To Me
